Patricia Veale Founder
Patricia has maintained her love of dance throughout her life. She trained professionally in London and performed in countless productions both in London and on tour.
in 1973 Patricia took over the Keyford Ballet School and introduced tap and modern to what is now the Keyford Dancing School, where over the years Patricia has meticulously prepared generations of families to enter dance examinations. She has encouraged them to perform in many local productions and at the Bristol Hippodrome.
Patricia has been an inspiration to students of all ages and abilities, her energy and enthusiasm is simply contagious. She continues to participate in the running of the Keyford Dancing School, the Fear Hall and Keynsham Music Festival. Thanks to her dedication Patricia has received a community Service Award and is admired by all
Janine Veale TEACHER AND ADMINISTRATOR
Janine began dancing at the age of four with her mother, Patricia Veale. At the age of sixteen Janine was offered a place at the Arts Educational School in London where she undertook a three year dance course studying ballet, tap, modern, contemporary and jazz. On completing her training Janine travelled to Portugal on her first professional contract to obtain her Equity Card. Subsequent contracts took her to Spain where she toured with different companies and choreographers for the following seven years. Janine’s dance experience includes both television and theatre productions.
Janine’s teaching career began in England in 1996. Initially teaching for local teachers, who recognizing her talent and dedication passed on their schools to her.
Janine teaches both children and adults at the Keyford Dancing School sharing her knowledge and love of dance, inspiring them to prepare for RAD, ISTD and BTDA examinations and to discover the joy of performing on stage.
CLAIRE J
ENKIN TEACHER
With extensive teaching experience across the local area Claire has prepared countless students for RAD, ISTD and BTDA examinations. She has also taught at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College across levels 2-5 in dance and musical theatre, with former students going on to successful careers in the performing arts.
Claire is passionate about creating a welcoming and nurturing environment where every dancer feels valued and inspired. Whether a pupil is taking their very first ballet class, working towards examinations, or aspiring to a career in the performing arts, she is committed to helping each individual reach their full potential.
AMY LOUISE TICKLE TEACHER
Amy began training at the Whittaker Dance and Drama Centre in Blackpool from the age of three gaining advanced qualifications in RAD, ISTD, LAMDA and LCM, for ballet, tap, modern, jazz, spoken English, verse and prose, acting, musical theatre and classical singing.
In 2015 Amy was awarded by the mayor and Mayoress of Blackpool for sixteen years of commitment and dedication to dance, drama and music. Amy later went on to receive a DADA award to study acting in London and progressed her training further in Bristol, embarking on three years of practical and research-based study in theatre and performance at the University of Bristol.
Amy currently works as a freelance director, choreographer and workshop facilitator across the South West of England and works closely with the Bristol Hippodrome as one of their lead creative practitoner.
